3. Post. Proximal Restorations Ivorine preparations for amalgam - more difficult. Polishing restorations. Slot preparations. Discussions of patient cases with inadequate preparations.
4. Post. Proximal Restorations Problem solving on natural teeth. Extensions beyond ideal. Caries removal, cracks, recurrent decay. Carving amalgam on natural teeth. Rubber dam isolation.
5. Post. Proximal Restorations Ivorine preparations for composite - typical and combined materials. Use of composite materials and sealants.
6. Lecture Posterior proximal restorations - amalgam, composite, gold, porcelain and indirect composite. Methods, extensions, atypical outlines.
7. Proximal Restorations Problem solving on natural teeth - composite preparations on mounted cases. Amalgam versus composite. Dentin and amalgam bonding methods. Composite contouring and polishing.
8. Proximal Restorations Gold inlay preparations on ivorine - 2 and 3 surface. Replacement of prior restorations - basing methods.
9. Proximal Restorations Problem solving on natural teeth - indirect restoration. Gold inlay preps, bite tray impressions and pouring casts. Demo of lab work. Discussion of Treatment planning options and protocol for class II restorations. Review for examination.

12. Anterior Restorations Ivorine class III restorations and class V restorations. Abfractions versus caries, choice of materials. Root preparations, isolation methods.
13. Anterior Restorations Class III and IV restorations of mounted natural teeth. Contours, shade, opacity and characterization. Direct composite veneering.
14. Lecture Single castings - porcelain versus gold. Anterior/Posterior. Full porcelain versus PFM. Porcelain veneers.
15. Examination Comprehensive written and practical. Anterior and posterior amalgam and composite restorations. PM: large carious posterior class V and seating gold inlay.
16. Ceramometal Restorations PFM preparations on ivorine teeth. Subgingival margins.
17. Ceramometal Restorations PFM preparations on ivorine. Prep for porcelain shoulder. Impressions and casts.
18. Ceramic Restorations Problem solving on natural teeth. PFM's, porcelain jacket crowns and porcelain veneer preparations.

27. Lecture Onlays - gold and porcelain. Differential diagnosis and treatment planning.

29. Gold Onlays Conservative preparations on ivorine. Cementation of partial veneer from session 26.
30. Porcelain onlays Conservative preparations on ivorine. Temporization.
31. Onlays Problem solving on mounted natural teeth. Premolars, molars, preparations on prior restored teeth.
32. Examination Written and practical. Combination of preparations in one typodont. A series of direct restorations involving amalgam and composite, and then several casting preparations, including one on buildup.
33. Treatment Planning Review of x-rays, charts and casts of typical patients. Discussion of treatment options, especially esthetics. Cementation of porcelain onlay.
34. Lecture Fixed partial dentures - Indications, preparations, laboratory procedures, articulation. Resin-bonded bridges.
35. Fixed Partial Denture Ivorine preparations in maniken.
36. Fixed Partial Denture Ivorine preparation in maniken. Impressions.
37. Lecture Implant-borne prostheses. Nobel Biocare.
38. Fixed Partial Dentures Articulation, sectioning of dies and fabricaction of wax patterns.
39. Resin Bonded Bridges Preparations for anterior and posterior cases.
40. Examination Comprehensive final. Treatment planning for specific case and simulated clinical treatment.
