Description
This is a participation course for the general dentist in private practice. The participant will be more aware of how often adequate details of work are not seen. Exercises using ivorine and natural teeth will demonstrate the difference between SEEING and guessing. A quantitative evaluation will be made for each attendee of the amount of detail seen with and without loupes. Various participant suppliers that give good servce and provide highest quality equipment are represented.

| 5/21/2004 | Fri | | 6pm - 10pm | | Determine desired working distance and posture. Determine magnification and effective visual accuity. Present and discuss options for loupes - you will be given a paper by Dr.Duggan. Fit each attendee with adjustable prism loupes. Be sure each attendee is comfortable and can see more than ever before. | | | | 5/22/2004 | Sat | | 8am - 2pm | | Demonstration of USE of loupes for a variety of procedures on a patient simulator. Point-of-view camera shows WHAT each attendee should see. Instructor shows HOW we can see it by appropriate positioning and direction of view. Attendees execute a variety of procedures in the simulator with advice from instructors. | | |
